How the score is made

Source and implementation record
Commercial-use original wording. Inward Atlas reviewed OpenPsychometrics OJTS/OEJTS as a possible source but did not use or adapt its items because those materials are licensed CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. This instrument uses the broad historical four-preference typology only as conceptual inspiration and requires empirical calibration before stronger psychometric claims.
Limitations shown with the assessment
- This is not the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Myers-Briggs Company.
- The four-letter code is a shorthand derived from four original Inward Atlas preference scales; it is not a diagnosis or a claim that people belong to fixed natural categories.
- Scores close to the midpoint can change sides with relatively small differences in answers and should be interpreted as balanced preferences.
- This Level C item set has not yet been normed or psychometrically validated on an Inward Atlas user sample.
Implementation notes
- All wording is original to Inward Atlas and is not copied from MBTI, 16Personalities, OJTS, or OEJTS questionnaires.
- Each axis contains eight direct-keyed and eight reverse-keyed statements.
- Midpoint letter splits are a product heuristic and are not presented as validated diagnostic cutoffs.
