Activity Level Test — IPIP
The item set or construct comes from published research or a public-domain measurement program, but this product form may be shortened, combined, translated, or presented differently from the source administration.
What it measures
Activity Level
What you complete
10-item single-construct self-report
How the score is made
Declared Likert items are summed after reverse-keying where specified, then transformed to a 0–100 display scale. The display is a response score, not a population percentile, unless an official lookup conversion is explicitly named.
Consistency evidence
Coefficient alpha 0.81, reported by Official IPIP scale key. This is source evidence, not a coefficient recalculated from Inward Atlas users.
What the evidence supports
The item set or construct comes from published research or a public-domain measurement program, but this product form may be shortened, combined, translated, or presented differently from the source administration. Inward Atlas has not independently established criterion, predictive, or cross-cultural validity for this implementation.
How values should be read
No Inward Atlas population norms; displayed 0–100 values are transformed response scores
Source and implementation record
The official IPIP key lists 10 items and reports coefficient alpha 0.81. Inward Atlas preserves item scoring direction, normalizes punctuation and obvious typography, and adds non-normative product interpretation without claiming to administer the proprietary JPI-R.
Limitations shown with the assessment
- The displayed 0–100 value is a transformed mean-item response score, not a population percentile or probability.
- This preliminary public-domain IPIP scale measures a construct similar to a JPI-R scale; Inward Atlas does not administer or reproduce the proprietary JPI-R.
- Activity level is not the same as productivity, health, motivation, ADHD status or personal worth.
- Self-report can change with context, mood and interpretation. Use the result as a focused reflection prompt rather than a permanent label.
Implementation notes
- Official key reports coefficient alpha 0.81.
- 5 positively keyed and 5 reverse-keyed items are preserved.
- No population percentile or diagnostic threshold is applied.
