LEVEL B · RESEARCH-ADAPTED MEASURE

Motivation Drivers Test

The item set or construct comes from published research or a public-domain measurement program, but this product form may be shortened, combined, translated, or presented differently from the source administration.

CONSTRUCT

What it measures

A 20-item profile of five motivation-related tendencies: pushing beyond the minimum, following through, exploring, learning, and bringing energy to what you do.

FORMAT

What you complete

20 scored items across 5 displayed dimensions

SCORING

How the score is made

Declared Likert items are summed after reverse-keying where specified, then transformed to a 0–100 display scale. The display is a response score, not a population percentile, unless an official lookup conversion is explicitly named.

RELIABILITY

Consistency evidence

No reliability coefficient has been estimated from Inward Atlas users for this online administration. Where a source link is provided, consult it for evidence about the original instrument or source scale.

VALIDITY

What the evidence supports

The item set or construct comes from published research or a public-domain measurement program, but this product form may be shortened, combined, translated, or presented differently from the source administration. Inward Atlas has not independently established criterion, predictive, or cross-cultural validity for this implementation.

NORMS

How values should be read

No representative Inward Atlas norm sample is applied. Displayed 0–100 values are transformed response scores, not percentile ranks or claims about comparison with a population.

Source and implementation record

Achievement-Striving and Self-Discipline retain Johnson IPIP-NEO-120 wording/keying. Curiosity, Love of Learning, and Zest retain the balanced 4-item IPIP-VIA-R short-scale wording/keying. Inward Atlas combines these five scales into a new motivation-focused product, so the combination is Level B.

Limitations shown with the assessment

  • This combines established public-domain IPIP scales into a new Inward Atlas motivation profile; validation evidence for each source scale does not automatically validate the combined product.
  • This test does not directly rank your personal moral, political, family, financial, spiritual, or life values.
  • The 0–100 values are transformed self-report scores, not population percentiles.
  • Low scores are not diagnoses of laziness, depression, ADHD, burnout, or lack of ability.

Implementation notes

  • Each source scale contributes four items.
  • The combined 20-item Motivation Drivers product is not claimed to be separately validated as a new composite instrument.
